The third episode of Guitar Hero, marks a turning point in Activision's best seller saga.

The first 2 editions had beat all the sales record for the rhythm games genre, but despite everything, the rudder of development, for this title, has been passed from Harmonix team (redirected to Rock band's development), to Neversoft (which has straightaway enlarged the target by publishing the game for almost every known console system).

The original formula has been kept almost unaltered: a rhythm game capable of recreating in an astonishing way the dynamics of an electric guitar played live. This year's guitar controller is wireless and reproduces accurately a Les Paul in a smaller scale.

The developers have included in the playlist, a succession of legendary rock songs, from the classic rock the the heaviest metal, represented by great covers or master recordings.

Neversoft has also renewed the graphic style by making it more serious and more rock-based, with characters richer in polygons and a great use of motion-capture for what concerns the labial movements of the singer and the hand movements of the guitarists (with very realistic close-ups).

The gameplay is noticeably improved from the previous games: better hammer-on dynamics, songs with a wider variety of notes, more precise chords and playable but challenging riffs.

So, get into the Rock and come to the World Console Championship in order to compete with other young Guitar Heroes like you! This game prize pool is 3.600 euros, but this is not the only reason why you have to come: if you prove your skill you will be able to perform on the Main Stage in front of hundreds people, on a 1x3 meters Led Walls, and rock them like a real Guitar Hero!
